    Can't connect amcrest IP2M-841W to Alexa echo 5/8 [SOLVED]

      I have tried everything to connect my Amcrest IP cam on my echo 5 or 8. I have done the test with the RTSP address on VLC and it connects fine, also can see that video codec supports H264 and AAC.
      I haven’t tried downloading the gateway service yet as from the Amcrest forum page for my [cam] (https://forum.monoclecam.com/topic/19/amcrest-ip2m-841w) it says that this isn’t required so I’m determined to get it working with out this.
      When I do try asking Alexa to show the cam it does start to connect and shows the name of the Cam and that it’s waiting to connect, it then finally says “the camera isn’t responding”
      Like I say the Cam works fine on VLC/ IP Cam/ Amcrest view pro
      Any tips or advice to get this working would be much appreciated.

        The Monocle Gateway is required for Echo Show 5 and 8. It’s not a camera limitation in this case, but rather a limitation of these Echo Show models.
