I was able to confirm that Monocle Skill has a bug that prevents it to connect with camera within 172.16.0.0 - 172.31.255.255 IP range (172.16/12 prefix).

Using tcpdump on my wifi-router, I have verified that my Echo Show connects flawlessly to 192.168.x.x and 10.x.x.x cameras, but with 172.16/12 cameras it doesn’t even tries to connect.

I’m pretty sure that it’s a bug on the skill.

That would be a very odd bug. I don’t believe there is anything in the software that would explicitly filter/restrict/deny any IP address range. What tags are you using? (@tunnel, @proxy).

        Thanks, Robert

I can confirm that these are NOT blocked.

My cameras are all on the 172.16.12.x and 172.16.14.x subnets with a 255.255.255.0 subnet mask
