BT Smart Hub 2, No DNS Options

Hi all, i get the feeling i unfortunately know the answer to this question already but figured i’d ask anyway just in case.
Previously i had my 4 Zmodo cameras working fine with Monocle, using a Pi as the gateway with no real issues However a few months ago i switched ISP and they gave me their new Smart Hub 2, all my smart tech transitioned happily apart from the cameras, they still stream over the Zmodo app but they don’t work with Alexa anymore, with the camera failing to connect every time.
I updated the IP addresses of course as these changed when the router did but from looking around i suspect this is an issue with the DNS, i understand that the solution is to create an exception in the Routers DNS settings but the (Not So) Smart Hub 2 does not allow this (confirmed by the supplier)
Is there any workaround at all or is a new router basically the only solution to this one?Thanks for your time.
