Connecting Dahua IP-Cam via Monoclecam with Amazon Echo - not working
-
I am trying to connect my dahua IP-Cam via Monoclecam with my amazon echo device.
So basically I tried different resolutions and substreams. I tried the RTSP URL with VLC and its working fine. But when trying to open the stream via Alexa, alexas response is: Camera is not responding.
It seems like the Issue are the credentials. For example, when I open the stream with VLC, VLC is asking me for the username and password. I can skip that by putting username and password into the RTSP URL. I guess Alexa does not show the stream as it needs the credentials as well.
However, i can not add the username and password in the URL on Monoclecam, it tells me there are no credentials allowed in the actual URL and I should enter them below in the authentification box.
Im pretty sure the issue is monoclecam does not forward the credentials correctly. I could definetly solve that problem by adding the credentials in the RTSP URL like that:
rtsp://admin:[email protected]:554/cam/realmonitor?channel=1&subtype=1Any ideas how I can solve that issue?

I have a Dahua camera which I view on my Echo Show 10 (2nd Gen). When I login to the monoclecam.com website and set up my camera, I have the Camera Feed/Stream URL set as rtsp://192.168.3.140:554/live . The camera is on the same local network as my Echo Show. Set a camera Name. I have Authentication set to DIGEST, and fill in the fields for the camera’s username and password. Select the video resolution (for me, 1920*1080 (16:9)[FHD]<1080P>). Select the video codec (for me, H264). Select the audio codec as NONE. Select a timeout (seconds), (for me , 120). The video comes up when I say "Alexa, show the “camera Name”.
