RCL-823a (5x)

Hi, I’m trying to set up an RLC-823A without success. My configuration is:
But it’s not working, Alexa tells me that “the camera does not respond”, do you know how to fix it? Thanks. -
@joan-correo I do not have an rlc-823a. However, the rlc-823a is listed as a 4k camera and it would then use /h265Preview_01_sub. I have an rlc-810a which is also a 4k camera. The issue here is that Reolink cameras that support h.264 do not also support h.265. The problem you are having here is that Amazon doesn’t support h.265 streams and likely never will. My solution for my rlc-810a was that I created a voice command to stream it to thru a Chromecast 4k Ultra. Amazon devices like Firesticks and Echo Shows just have no h.264 support at all.

Hi
I don’t have this camera but a bit of searching around seems to imply that there is a secondary or substream that is in h264.
From reading it is fixed at 640x480 have you tried setting the resolution to that in monocle instead of 1080p (as in your image).

If this doesn’t work the only other option would be to setup a restreamer docker or use ffmpeg to convert but this gets complicated and resource hungry

Thank you for your help. I have tried the solutions you have provided, but I am still getting the message from Alexa “the camera does not respond”, I will continue to look for more information.

@joan-correo If you are into self-hosting, you might want to take a look at this video that I made awhile back.
