RTSP Streams not showing on Echo Show 5 with NUC Ubuntu Gateway

Hi Robert,
I am really excited about your service. This seems to be an incredible cool solution for getting your House Cams into Alexa Show. Unfortunately I do not seem to get it working properly. I have to 2 Cameras active that I tried to get working. They are both China Cams (One from Wonsview from gearbest and the other from Techage from Aliexpress)
RTSP Feeds are working. I can see them in VLC and also have them in my Synology Surveillance Station as RTSP Stream.
When I try to get the setup with monocle (incl gateway) working , I always get the feedback “Cam is not reacting” after some seconds. I used all tags in every combination - activated/deactivated Audio, tried the cams native RTSP Stream as well as the ones generated by the Surveilance Station (which should also work as far as I understood)
I tried erasing the gateway from the NUC and reinstalled it but still get the same failure everytime trying to access the cams unfortunately. The network is a Wifi with an additional Router to extend the range of the signal (not configured as router, only “Mesh”)I have no clue what to try else - it would be really great to get this working on my Echo Show 5 :)

No info at all? Do I use a bad setup that cannot work?

Hmmm, I dont think so. I am not running the Gateway on a Synology Docker but on a NUC with Ubuntu. Synology only supplies the Surveillance Station RTSP Feed for the Cams.

Bummer… I guess there is no solution for Echo Show 5 then even with Gateway. I now use IOBroker and have Snapshots sent to my VIS. This is also fairly nice.

Sorry for the delay, I have been out of the office for a couple of weeks.
Thanks for the log. It’s telling us that the gateway is configured properly and it’s properly receiving the Alexa camera requests from the Monocle servers.
What is missing is immediately after the “INITIALIZE RTSP STREAM” block, we should see incoming TCP requests from the Echo device into the gateway and recorded in the log.
This issue usually comes down to some networking related problem. The Echo device is not communicating with the Monocle Gateway for some reason.
(1) . Is the Echo device on the same network as the Monocle Gateway. (i.e. not on a guest network or VLAN)
(2) Make sure the computer running the Monocle Gateway does not have a firewall blocking access to port 443. Make sure this computer does not already have some other service already using port 443 (Apache web server/ NGINX, etc) . You can restart Monocle Gateway and look at the log that captures the startup info to make sure it’s successfully binding to port 443.
(3) DNS REBINDING. https://monoclecam.com/monocle-gateway/troubleshooting/dns-rebinding
