Reolink B800, Unsure of RTSP URL

Reolink NVR with 4 B800 cameras. Main url is 192.1.168.xxxx but cameras show 172.16.25.xxxx. Can not figure out proper URL to run in VLC much less Echo Show 2nd gen., 10 inch. Any suggestions Please

Many of these NVRs simply create a private and isolated network where the cameras are connected. However, the NVR should have support for a RTSP URL that can discretely access each camera. The RTSP URL will all share the same IP address (192.1.168.xxxx) as the NVR itself, but should include some unique part of the URL string that identifies which camera and which stream type you want to access.
Which NVR model is it? Perhaps the user manual includes some details on the RTSP URL for it?
You would not use the camera’s “172.16.25.xxxx” addresses in this case since they are isolated behind the NVR in a private network.

@Monocle … It is a Reolink RNL8-410. I use the string “rtsp://admin:[email protected]:554/h264Preview_02_sub”. This allowed me to stream in VLC, then I changed the resolution in NVR and now it does not. Not sure if maybe a resolution problem. When I ask Alexa she tries and flashes for a bit and says “the camera is not responding”. Kinda frustrated that I had it in VLC then not

Did you manage to figure this out? It does seem very odd to work in VLC and then fail to work in VLC after changing the camera’s resolution. Some ReoLinks are now shipping using the H.265 video codec by default. You may want to check that and make sure you are using the H.264 video codec.
