Camera Not Responding. with and without Gateway
-
Hello,
I do not know what else to do. I’ve tested the RTSP on VLC and it’s working.
However, when I attempt to stream on my echo show, I receive the “humm camera is not responding.”I’ve tried with and without the gateway. With an static IP and without. Also, tagging @proxy and @tunnel.
I really do not know what else to do. below is a copy of what i get on the gateway.

anything?

@monocleAxis I haven’t had time to work on mine again. Very frustrating to have had it working then lose it after a power outage. I know it must be something simple that I’m overlooking.
-
Had a similar issue with my camera.
Switching from DIGEST to BASIC authentication might help.
Go to the cameras settings page
Click the SYSTEM Tab and go to “Plain Config”
Select the NETWORK section and search for HTTP Authentication policy, the default for new cameras is “DIGEST”, switch that to “BASIC”. Scroll down and click “SAVE”.
the camera will then ask you to relogin.
The “Basic and Digest” setting does not have any effect, you can only run DIGEST OR BASIC, not both at the same time.
If you use the Axis Camera Station or AXIS Camera Companion software, the camera will not run in those anymore if you do not use DIGEST authentifaction…
let me know if it worked.

@Axis Thanks for the reply.
I’ve tried your suggestion but still no luck. I played around with it and got it to the point where it says “device playing media stream” on the gateway and I even get the error message on the axis camera saying multiple viewers, but I do not get a feed on my echo.

Guys,
anyone know what the below means?
" [ERROR] Uncaught Exception Cannot read property ‘match’ of null"
Thanks

Using basic auth is not a good solution for those of us who use Axis Camera Station. Digest appears to not be working with Monocle. Would be great if this could be fixed.
