connection takes too lang
-
Everything works very well with me.
However, when I say alexa show me the front door it takes
about 8 to 10 seconds until the picture appears. Actually, it should be 2 to 3 seconds, according to the description.
Use the sub-stream with the smallest resolution.
What else can I do? -
@pfeffi
Did any one have the same Problem or get You the connection faster -
Hey, I have the same problem with 10seconds to load stream, but two cameras work with
@proxy-tcp
faster, they need 5s.
@Monocle with@tunnel
wont work any camera. With@proxy
work all of them, but some are faster with@proxy-tcp
but other are slower. Are there any other options to test? I have tp-link, edimax and tenvis cameras. -
@warcanoid
thank you will try -
What make/model of camera are you using?
In my experience, Dahua based cameras like Amcrest, newer Lorex, etc will show their streams in 3-5 seconds. Most others seem to take closer to 10 seconds.
Thanks, Robert

@Monocle
I use Foscam Fl9805 and Fl9900. Both need 10 sec. -
Yes, my Foscam R4 takes 10 seconds as well :-(

@Monocle
No way to make it faster??? -
Unfortunately not. I believe the latency is due to the platform and RTPS/Codec implementation on the small embedded device. I have tested similar camera stream on a Raspberry Pi (embedded ARM-based device) and experienced similar latency.
