I struggled with this one but after reading another post, I tried adding a @fake-fmtp tag which was the trick to get it to work.

On most Dahua cameras you can also shorten the RTSP URL to:

rtsp://192.168.xxx.xxx:554/cam/realmonitor?channel=1&subtype=0
