@przem2k I have two echos that the cameras are also not working with (found out 4 hours ago).

@Graham2607 I have the same problem and it has persisted for several days. This has happened before.
It usually means that they have a bad certificate.

Ditto. The Camera don’t show up. I tried adding a monocle docker container to my network and that didn’t seem to help either.

                  @Monocle @admin

                  Morning,
Same problem here for the last 2 weeks.
I believe it is a certificate issue on monocle side.
Is there a way any of us can help? @Robert
                  Thank you!

After a month, it looks like there is no longer support for this application. Better start looking for an alternative.

I’ve run into similar issues with cameras not connecting properly. Sometimes a reset or checking your connections can do the trick. If you’re still having trouble, I found a site with some helpful guides and troubleshooting tips that might help. You can check it out at NightOwlLogin. Hopefully, that helps!

@deepbluesee This last happened a few years ago. Back then it was certificate issue on the Monocle server. The issue was fixed and viewing my cams on Alexa started to work again. A month or so ago viewing cams on Alexa stopped working (around Jan 2025). I still have the same Alexa devices (I don’t use the Gateway and know this doesn’t work on the latest Alexa devices) so I assume the issue might be the same certificate issue as last time. It’s a HUGE shame, because this is a very useful feature. Like most people, we have Alexa devices in most rooms so could view our various cameras whenever we wanted. Not sure why the owner would leave this forum operational and the actual login area where you enter your camera details operational if they weren’t going to keep the actual feature operational. I’m sure many people would support the site with a few pounds ££s. Hope this might be fixed soon?? The site definitely has many fans out there.

Hey, I get how frustrating that can be. Try these steps:

                              1. Check your camera connections and make sure everything’s updated.
                              2. Reset both your Alexa Show and the cameras.
                              3. Disable and re-enable the camera skill in the Alexa app.

Hopefully one of these does the trick! Keep me posted on how it goes.

If you have already tried everything, you can discuss the issue with the technical team. They should be able to fix it within minutes. If you prefer, you can also resolve it through direct chat. I can share the link with you if you’d like.

@NightOwl I also posted on the forum about this same issue in hopes of trying to reach the “technical team”.

Please do share the link to reach them as I think most of us here on the forums are not trying to complain instead we are truly looking for support from @admin @Monocle

                                      Thank you

@NightOwl This has happened a couple of times in the past and has always been a certificate error on their server. Once Monocle corrected the certificate error, everything worked again. It doesn’t have anything to do with the individual users’ equipment. We are all reporting the same thing. The only difference this time is the fact that we are not getting any response from Monocle. It seems to me that the app is no longer supported.

I have been successful replacing the Monocle functionality with a Scrypted add-in server running in Home Assistant. You can also build a stand-alone Scrypted server.

After setting up the Scrypted server, it is just a matter of installing your native camera plugins and the Scrypted Alexa plugin and you have the Monocle functionality replicated. I am now going to delete my Monocle cameras.

@Joe , I looked at scrypted some time ago, but it seems to me that this solution for Alexa integration was not free? or not?
