I’m experiencing the same. All my echo shows (a mix of 5s 10s and a 15) won’t load the feed from my Ubiquiti cameras, apart from one show 5 which seems to have not updated to the most recent firmware, which I noticed rolling out this week. The only show in the house still working is running 5553. @Monocle, any chance you could take a look, please?

Same problem here
I have an Echo Show 8 3rd Generation firmware version 4487 and an Annke I51EL POE camera.
I am using the Monocle Gateway on a raspberry pi 4
The stream worked till a week or so agoI have tried all the troubleshooting steps.
The rest stream works fine in VLC.
The DNS hostname *.mproxy.io does resolve to the raspberry address.I have removed and added the camera again in the Alexa app.
I have revoked and created again the API key and replaced it in monocle.tokenI have rebooted all devices: the camera, the Echo Show and the raspberry.
I don’t receive any inbound connection log statement in the gateway log when I ask Alexa to show the camera and of course Alexa says the camera isn’t responding.

I have what sounds like the same problem. Echo Show doesn’t work but fire tablet does work normally.

Same here. Echo Show 8 1st Gen. Firmware is showing /5565.
Have had two working cameras (one Amcrest, one Dahua) for over a year with Monocle. Now nothing.
Watching the output from Docker - the request is initiated but the Echo never starts the stream from the proxy.
(I just obfuscated everything that I didn’t know what it meant or thought should not be shared.)This was a working config - nothing has changed on my end and I can ping the *.mproxy.io address from the VLAN that my cameras are on. No changes to firewall rules.

Thank you !
Problem solved

@Toto How???

Can’t explain, i’ve done nothing, but Echo Show 8 worked again by itself. But Echo Show 5 and 8 not.

Hello,
I have the same problem with Echo Show 15. Firmware: 31240326020
Alexa always responds after about 30 seconds “the camera is not responding”.
The cameras can be reached via VLC over RTSP.
In the terminal I get the same output as @toto.
Port 443 is accessible on the camera and on the gateway.Who can help me here?
Or is there a general problem with Alex or monoclecam gateway? -
Still not working on Alexa Spot and Alexa Show since 30 Days :-(

TotoWhich is it then? Did the Echo Show 8 work or not?
-
sorry my fault, Echo Show 10 is running again.
Echo Show 5 and 8 not. -
Is there no longer any support from Monoclecam?
Is the system still being developed?
I took a look at the last forum entries, some of which are from a long time ago.

@FrankZielonka-0 apparently not

I have 2 Echo Show 8 (1st generation)
Both are using Software Fire OS 6.5.6.5 (NS6565/5565).One is still working great receiving all my Unifi cameras. The other Echo Show works for a few hours then “Camera not reponding”
If deregister that Echo Show and reregister it, It will start working again for 4 to 24 hours… ish.
Getting tired of de and registration it!!

I gave up. Not to disparage our host but this isn’t the first round of “working / not working.”
I ended up setting up Scrypted in a docker container on a Proxmox VM and it was VERY straightforward and worked within minutes. I’m sure there are downsides there but the WAF (wife acceptance factor) of “just make it work” won out over loyalty.

I was following this thread since several days, suffering exactly the same problem from one day to another, touching 1000 of things, and finally I’ve managed to solve this, restoring to “factory defaults” my Echo Show 8.
For some reason before restoring it, the Echo won’t connect through IP/UDP with my Monocle Gateway and once restored everything started working.
I hope this can be useful your someone.
Cheers,
Ramiro. -
@sabueso
thank you for sharing with us.
You are right, Echo Show reset and new setup in Alexa app solved the problem for now.Best

@sabueso Tried a factory reset echo show 10 2nd generation. I am NOT using the gateway. Did not work for me Graham
