      Confirming fix on my end:

Unifi Protect running on Cloudkey Plus.
      Cameras = G3 Flex

      Upgraded my Rasberry PI install:
      Stopped Service
      Downloaded Beta .6
      Unzipped Beta .6
      Started Service

Changed my Unifi RTSPS URL to RTSP and removed the ?enableSrtp

Ensured my resolution was set to “max” (1920x1080) on both RTSP feed and the camera configuration

      Added tags: @noaudio, @tunnel

      Cameras working

      Echo Spot
      Echo Show 5 (1st Gen)

@cory_booth Sounds about right. If you are still having an issue, drop by the Ubiquiti-Unifi channel on https://chat.scottibyte.com/ and I can see if I can help.

When I attempted to start if from my batch file, it just stops at the monocle directory where the call is made to start monocle-gateway.exe.

If double click on monocle-gateway.exe from the 0.6 beta, via the win explorer (which I could do with the older version and it fired up), I get…

          907ec889-6178-44ad-9c85-34a044b1b9f6-image.png

This seems like something did not compile correctly on the Windows build.
Let me try testing it here and I may need to rebuild it and send you another build to try out.

          Thanks, Robert

… Hey, look at my posting regarding my Reolink RLC-820A 4k camera. After a year, I have not had anyone suggest a solution to it not working. With the new beta of Monocle Gateway both of my G3 Instant cameras on Unifi Protect are now working great on my Echo Show 10’s and my Fire TV 4k max.

            I’ll take a look :-)

            Thanks, Robert

I can confirm I am running ok on the windows build.

              I am running Server 2022 x64

Not sure if the windows 7 is x86 or x64?

First, thank you for all that you are doing here! I am not Linux/Pi savvy, which may be part of the problem. I still cannot get this to work. Here’s what I’ve done so far:

                  -Uninstalled 0.0.4
                  -Installed beta 0.0.6
                  -I’m using a Pi
-Ubiquiti Protect v2.1.2 with managed cameras
-G4 Dome cameras tested at low/medium/high resolutions
-Various combinations of @noaudio @fixaudio and of course @tunnel
-Echo Show 5 running Fire OS 6.5.5.2 and 6.5.5.3
-The Pi gateway appears to be working fine. DNS resolves.
-Regardless of the video resolution and/or no audio, no dice

                  Any thoughts?

Can you post the log info from Monocle Gateway after requesting the camera stream from Alexa?

                      Thanks, Robert

I have not had a chance to test v0.0.6 on Windows yet but can you try re-installing the VC++ runtime dependencies – maybe thats the issue?

Thanks Robert. So downloaded it again, ran the install. And gave it a try.
Results, the exact same symptoms. The 0.6 beta does the same thing : from the batch freezes at the command line where the monocle-gateway.exe is called.
If I go into windows file manager, and double click on the monocle-gateway.exe, get the same warning window.

If I put the OG (V 0.0.4)files back on, it all runs , from the batch or from double clicking on the monocle-gateway.exe.

I have been working on tracking down this issue and it appears this is related to Windows 7 and its end of life. The underlying runtime and some dependencies have discontinued support for Windows 7.

Are you running Monocle Gateway on Windows 7?

I’ll PM you something to try, but we may need to drop support for Windows 7 due to lack of support from the underlying tools and frameworks.

                                  Thanks, Robert

This is working for me with G3 instant, G4 Bullet & Pro cameras. It also fixed the problem I had with the latest Echo Show 10 that I posted in this forum HERE.
                                      Thank you very much @Monocle!

                                        Hi Robert -
I’m experiencing the same issue all on this string have experienced since updating Unifi protect to Version 2.x.x on my UDM Pro. I am not as savvy with Linux/ raspberry pi and so to date I’ve just used the monocle web portal directly to my Alexa account with an Echo Show 10. IE, I haven’t been using any hardware gateway and it was working great…but no longer.
Per the monocle website it seems like the gateway is just needed for some fire TV devices, certain cameras and increased security desires right?

Is there a fix for the (non-gateway) web-portal-only setup or will I be forced to figure this out with a gateway going forward?

                                        Thanks -

@JHoover Jeff, you really do need the gateway for many of the cameras on the market. My channel is devoted to most things hosted and I too use Unifi Protect v2.x on my UDM Pro. Drop by my chat at https://chat.scottibyte.com/ and I may be able to answer some of your gateway questions more simply.
